Linda’s Savvy Series has garnered the attention of many because of her straight to the point style and her series has helped to catapult readers into new depths.
When I read The Savvy Mogul's Manual, I wanted to be a mogul. I wanted to be the next Oprah Winfrey, not because of the fame and fortune, even though that is good too, but I wanted to be a mogul because I believed that title brought with it the ability to do what I needed to do and wanted to do for myself and others. I believed that the title meant that I mastered my craft and now had the ability to live off my earnings, help those in need and do more for my family. But how do you become a mogul? That was the question that seemed to elude me until I purchased The Savvy Mogul’s Manual.
Linda Dominique breaks down how to become a mogul in easy to take, bite sized steps. She addresses what can potentially stand in the way of that status and she breaks down what you need to do to gain mogul status. I love Linda’s honest approach to business, networking, profits, and social media because today it all works together to take you from an unknown to a mogul. This book is fast becoming my go-to read. The Savvy Mogul's Manual is chock-full of nuggets that will get you on the right track, but you must be ready to do the work. Like any other business book, it does not work unless you work it, but if you are committed to seeing your business grow, get this book. If you are committed to doing what it takes to go from an unknown to a mogul, get this book. If you want to see your finances soar, get this book. The Savvy Mogul's Manual (and the Savvy Series) will take you to a whole new level in business and in life.

When I found Zari Bank’s book, O Lord, Forgive Them, I needed it, and God always sends me what I need, when I need it. I always thought that just saying “I forgive” was enough to solidify forgiveness, but then one of the things God allowed me to learn while I was praying through O Lord, Forgive Them is that we can say we forgive someone with our mouths, but we have yet to forgive in our hearts.
Just before I began reading O Lord, Forgive Them, I received a phone call from my mother letting me know that someone from my past - someone who stole something very valuable from me - died. I remember telling my mother, “good, I’m glad he’s dead.” Now, you and I both know that was not God’s love speaking, it was hurt, anger, and pain talking. I really did not want to forgive this person, but I knew that if I wanted God to move for me, I needed to forgive him and a few others as well.
When I purposed to begin praying through, O Lord, Forgive Them, I created a list of people that I needed to forgive including everyone I could think of at the time. The first few days it was really hard for me to pray for these people, but I knew that I needed to forgive so I pressed through. Around day 7, God began dealing with me and the hurt that I felt when I began the book was starting to dissipate and now I was beginning to feel weights being lifted. I was beginning to feel change taking place in my heart, in my mind, and in my life. I pressed through and continued on through to the end and when I was done, I was different. Each prayer, each day took away more of the pain and as the pain was removed God healed me, delivered me and changed me. By day 30, I could talk to those who'd hurt me without issue. By day 30, I no longer held onto the pain, grief, and unforgiveness that I held on day one. I was transformed and it was because I prayed for my enemies.
Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:44 to love our enemies, to bless them that curse us, to do good to those that hate us, and to pray for those who despitefully use us and persecute us. Jesus wanted us to pray for our enemies and treat them better than they treat us and Zari Banks’ book, O Lord, Forgive Them, will help you do that. It can be difficult to think of what to pray when it comes to those who have hurt you, but Zari takes the guess work out of this process. Zari has written out clear, anointed prayers that you can pray for your enemies that will help you to do as Jesus commanded us. These prayers will also change you in the process. If you have people in your life (alive or dead) that you need to forgive, get a copy of Zari’s book today and get started on your own forgiveness journey.

When I selected “Raising God’s Girl” to read I was looking for insight on raising daughters. As a mother of one son, I wanted a better understanding of how to raise my future daughter (I hope) God’s way. I wanted to learn the “tricks” of the trade so that I could ensure that raising the daughter I hope to one day have would be a wonderful Godly experience. I wanted to know the things I had not had the pleasure (and even displeasure) of experiencing while raising my son, who is now 17 and this book exceeded my every expectation and more.
This book, while geared for parents of girls, can be used for parents with boys or girls. I found myself implementing some of the strategies in this book in situations with my son because while boys and girls are different there are some fundamental things that are still the same. I marked this book up because there were so many wonderful points that I could use right now for my son. There were lots of great points about the book, but I will detail a couple that stood out to me.
One of the most beautiful points in this book is the Daughter’s Proclamation. It takes the Word of God and applies it to every daughter, letting her know that she is what God said she is – fearfully and wonderfully made, beautiful in the hands of God and so much more. Aside from the amazing title, this proclamation comes on the heels of the author’s asking us the reader what it would like if our daughter’s knew they were God’s Girl. As the mother of a son, I loved that for a couple of reasons and the first is that I actually want my son to marry a woman who knows that she is God’s Girl. I want my son to have a wife who can tell her daughter’s that she is God’s Girl. I want my son to be able to reach out to his wife, who is God’s Girl, and have her pray for him. I want my son’s wife to know her worth in the Lord, so that she will not compromise herself in the world. I want my son’s wife to be bold enough in Christ that she has no problem kneeling before the Lord for my son and his children. The declaration, while designed and written for daughters, could certainly be applied to sons as well.
Another thing I loved about this book was the fact that each of their daughters had a say in what we read. It was clear that this was a family book and they were willing to share their stories with us, the reader, as a testimony for our own families. I knew that this was a family project and while it may not have always been comfortable to share such intimate details of family, each participant was aware of the great importance of writing this book. This prayerfully crafted guide for parents of girls is clearly a guide written by more than just Rich and Mary Lou – this is their family story and it’s a beautiful one.
I recommend this book to any parent – of girls or boys, this book will certainly bless you. You can purchase your copy on Amazon.
